Project Title: Tobacco Free SC – Advertising and Marketing Campaign

Problem:

The SC DHEC Division of Tobacco Prevention and Control faced challenges reaching teens and young adults with effective tobacco prevention messaging under the Tobacco Free SC initiative.


Solution:

EMILY Revolutionary Marketing Group was engaged to strengthen advertising strategies and significantly expand the reach of tobacco prevention messages to the target demographic.


Key Actions Taken:


Event Advertising:

  • Placed ads at South Carolina High School League (SCHSL) events, including Cheer, Football, and Basketball championships.

  • Extended advertising placements to SC Independent High School Association (SCISA) basketball events for private schools.

  • Secured LED board advertisements at Colonial Life Arena, home to University of South Carolina sporting events, reaching broader and collegiate audiences.

  • Digital Advertising and Content Development:

  • Created and deployed display ads and 15- and 30-second video commercials based on content provided by SC DHEC.

  • Implemented a targeted online advertising strategy managed by our SEO specialist to enhance visibility of tobacco prevention resources.

  • Distributed display ads through AdCritter’s platform for statewide digital reach.


Ongoing Efforts:

  • Campaign management, performance monitoring, and expansion of advertisement placements are ongoing.

  • Future ads and enhancements are planned as part of continued campaign optimization.
